The Cameron City Council proposed a tax rate for the coming year and ordered the November election for one spot on the council during a meeting Monday night.
Milam County has recorded its fifth death due to COVID-19.
The Cameron Volunteer Fire Department honored outstanding firefighters for their service during its annual awards banquet on Aug. 14. The banquet was dedicated to the Trey Summers family.
