Yoemen sweep Rockdale

The Yoe baseball team picked up a shutout victory over rival Rockdale on Friday. Anthony Layne tossed a complete game shutout to help Cameron pick up a sweep of Rockdale. The Yoemen won 9-0 in Rockdale on the strength of Layne’s shutout. Juan Cardona had a big night at the plate by driving in four runs to help Cameron offensively. The Yoemen also picked up a win against Rogers 3-1 on Tuesday night. Jason Llanas got the start and the win for the Yoemen and Alex Alonso earned the save. The win is the Yoemen’s sixth straight in district play. Above, Luke Greene takes a swing against Rockdale. At right, Layne tosses one to the plate.
