Yoemen fall to Bellville on the road
The Bellville Brahmas held the Cameron Yoemen to only two touchdowns on Friday night on the way to a 49-14 win.
The Yoemen were limited to 91 yards on the ground and got most of their offensive production from quarterback Braylan Drake, who threw for 141 yards that included TD passes to Trayjen Wilcox and Charlie Mayer.
Bellville racked up 367 yards on the ground. Sam Hranicky rushed for 210 yards and three TDs for the Brahmas.
Cameron’s lone score in the first half came on a 63-yard touchdown pass from Drake to Wilcox in the second quarter. The score at the half was 28-7 with Bellville on top.
The Yoemen would add another touchdown from Charlie Mayer in the second half but just couldn’t catch up to Bellville.
The loss moves the Yoemen to 2-2 on the season.
They will start district play by traveling to Lorena to play the defending State Champion Leopards on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. STATS
