Yoe track team earns district title
The Yomen track team won the 19-3A district track meet last Thursday.
There were some outstanding performances, but the highlight was the athletes rallying from behind to take a 29-point lead over Rogers.
The results are as follows:
Parrell Hemphill - first in 100-meter, first in 200-meter, fourth in triple jump, second in high jump
Kadarius Bradley - third in 100-meter, fifth in 200-meter
Phaibian Bynaum – second in 200-meter
Armando Reyes - second in 400-meter
Brady Havens - fifth in 320-meter
Brent Wright - third in 110-meter hurdles, third in triple jump
Iverson Braziel – second in 300-meter hurdles, third in long jump
Tracer Lopez – first in 300-meter hurdles
Ke’Vaughn Booze - sixth in long jump
Colby Arney - third in shot put
Eduardo Gil - fifth in shot put
Izayah Gallman - third in discuss
Tyler Martin - fourth in pole vault
4x100 relay – first place team of Phaibian Bynaum, Tracer Lopez, Kadarius Bradley, Ke’Vaughn Booze
4x400 relay – first place team of Armando Reyes, Ke’Vaughn Booze, Javoun Goldsby, Tracer Lopez
The Junior Varsity also had some strong performances.
