Yoe football season around the corner, events coming up

Yoe High Athletic Director Rick Rhoades is reminding students and parents about upcoming important dates for the football program. 

The annual Meet the Coaches Night is set for the Yoe High Cafeteria from 6:30-9 p.m. this Thursday, July 28. All athletes and their parents must attend. 

Equipment handouts will begin Friday with two-a-day workouts set to open Aug. 1. 

The Yoe football team will kick off their first scrimmage Aug. 12 at Yoe Field against Taylor and conclude their scrimmage slate with a road trip to Madisonville on Aug. 18. An intrasquad scrimmage will be held Aug. 6 from 8-11 a.m. on Yoe Field. 

The annual Meet the Yoemen Ice Cream Social is set for 6 p.m. Aug. 17 in the Yoe High PAC. Cameron opens the season Aug. 26 on the road in Lago Vista.
