On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Yoemen and Lady Yoe Cross Country teams competed in the McGregor Invitational.
The Yoemen claimed the Team Championship while the Lady Yoe took home the Team Bronze.
The Yomen took home first place overall.

The Lady Yoe placed third overall and missed second place by only one point.
Individuals: Yierra Flemmings – first; Logan Pevehouse – second; Daisy Osoria – 11th; Luzenda Landa – 29th; Sally Wiggins – 31st.
The Yoe Cross Country teams are set for a Triangular meet with Milano and Rockdale on Saturday, Sept. 19, here in Cameron.
“I think we have a very exciting schedule this year,” Coach Dale Kee said. “Sept. 19 we will make history. We are having a triangular between Cameron, Milano and Rockdale. If you look at the map our cities make a triangle so it is quite fitting we have a triangular meet.”
Keen said the UIL has put restrictions on the number of teams you can have at a meet so they have taken the opportunity to do some things that are good for the sport.
“We were going to do a dual with Rockdale and then when Milano heard about it they asked to join in,” he said. “So a triangular was born.”
The Yoe will also run a dual meet later this season with Rosebud-Lott.
