The Yoemen Boy’s Varsity led most of the way for the four-mile relay held at Apache Pass on Aug. 20 and was just passed in the last 400 meters to finish in 2nd place. Boys JV also came in second place. Only two girls were running and they teamed with Aggieland and Taylor High School to finish second in the JV Division. “This was a nice event and fun,” Coach Dale Keen said. “It was held at Apache pass were they ran through the San Gabriel River at the famous historical crossing.” Varsity Boys: Nathan Evans, Brady Havens, Brock Wright, Damon Flemings. JV Boys: Tracer Lopez, Cesar Munoz, Zachary Frausto, Hayden Marrs. JV Girls: Savannah Nejtek and Mirella Alvarez.
