Yoe boys tops in Rockdale

The Yoemen track team has a successful day at the Rockdale Relays last week.

Results for the varsity boys were as follows: High Jump - Kadrian Hammond - first place with a jump of six feet and two inches; Triple Jump - Kadrian Hammond - third place with a jump of 41 feet 11 ¾ inches; Discus - Callyn Harris - third place with a throw of 124 feet six inches; Long Jump - Thomas Melton - sixth place with a jump of 19 feet four inches; 4x100 Relay - first place - Deonte Williams, Zakorian Spikes, Malik Thomas and Davioun Bynaum with a time of 43.25; 100-meter Dash - Davioun Bynaum - first place with a time of 10.84; 110-meter Hurdles - Callyn Harris - fifth place with a time of 17.15; 4x200 Relay - second place - Malik Thomas, Deonte Williams, J.D. Wilson and Zakorian Spikes with a time of 1:35.83; 200-meter Dash - Davioun Bynaum - second place with a time of 22.43, and Zakorian Spikes - third place with a time of 23.47. The varsity boys placed first overall with a total of 91 points.

Results for the junior varsity boys were: Long Jump - Jaidyn Sanchez - first place with a jump of 18 feet four inches; Triple Jump - Jaidyn Sanchez - first place with a jump of 38 feet two and a half inches; Shot Put - Eduardo Gil - second place with a throw of 35 feet 11 inches; 4x100 Relay - fifth place - Jaidyn Sanchez, Jacorian Melton, Phaibian Bynaum and Randy Flores with a time of 47.17; 4x200 Relay - sixth place - Trenton Nix, Jaidyn Sanchez, Jacorian Melton and Phaibian Bynaum with a time of 1:41.78. The JV boys placed sixth overall with a total of 34 points.
