Two Yoe XC runners qualify for regional meet

The Yoe Cross Country team had two runners qualify for regionals at the District 19-3A Cross Country Meet held in Cameron on Saturday.

For the girls freshman Logan Pevehouse placed third with a time of 12:42.4 and will head on to the Regional Meet on Oct. 28 in Huntsville.

Yoe’s Daisy Osoria placed 11th with a time of 12:48.7 and Julie Preiser took 30th with a time of 14:52.9. Other team members were Savannah Nejtek in 45th and Gabriela Garcia in 48th. The girls placed sixth as a team.

McGregor took the team title along with placing girls in first, second and fifth. Rogers came in second as a team and Franklin came in third.

Yoe junior Joseph Muniz placed seventh with a time of 17:36.9. He will head to regionals also as an individual. Brock Wright came in 14th with a time of 18:17.9. Joseph Barbo placed 38th and Johnathan Clouse placed 41st.

The McGregor boys took the team title with a sweep of first through fourth place. Franklin took fifth and sixth place. Little River Academy came in as the second place team and Rockdale finished in third place.
