Summer sports camps

This summer is starting off strong with summer camps for athletics. One of them is a football camp with the division 3 national football champion UMHB Crusaders. 

The others are hosted by Cameron Yoe. They will be hosting a football, baseball, strength and conditioning, and a basketball camp for Lady Yoe athletes. The first one is the athletics strength and conditioning camp. This camp kicked off Monday, June 6 and will go through July 28. The camps will take place from Monday through Thursdays. The athletics department asks that you pack a bottle of water, wear workout clothes and shoes, and get ready to put some work in. This is a great way to stay active and out of the house during the summer break. High school boys will be from 8-10 a.m. and all females and junior high boys go from 9-11 a.m. For any further questions, contact the Yoe high athletic department. 

The next one is the camp with the national champs hosted by Mary Hardin-Baylor. It will be located at Crusader stadium in Belton and started Monday. For any further questions or sign-up information, go to www.umhbfootballcamps.com.  

The Lady Yoe basketball camp is for incoming third to ninth graders and will go from June 20-23. It will be located at Yoe High School and is $40 per camper. Grades 3-6 will be from 8-11 a.m. and grades 7-9 will be from 12:30-4 p.m. The deadline to register will be on or before June 17. To register, go onto the link https://forms.gle/EvAejtWwXTzgknyv8, early registration is recommended, yet walk-ups are also accepted. The camp directors will be assistant coach Kelby Sprinkles and new head coach Carmichael Wiley.

With walk-up registration, it is cash or money order only and you are not guaranteed a camp T-shirt. Please have information and payment ready for first day of camp; also financial assistances is also an option. Check in will begin 30 minutes before camp. Up next is the baseball camp. It will be located at Yoe High School and will hosted by Coach Nick De La Cerda. The camp will be for grades 6-9 and will be from June 20-22, and is $45 per camper. The camp will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m. For further information regarding registration, contact Coach De La Cerda at ndelacerda@cameronisd.net.  

Yoemen Football Camp is for all incoming 3rd - 9th grade students can attend and is $55 per camper. Dates are July 25 until July 28 at the Yoe Field House and Yoe Field. The time grades 3-6 will be at 8-10 a.m. and grades 7-9 will be 10:30-12:30 p.m. They ask that you return the registration by mail or bring it in person to Cameron Yoe Fieldhouse on July 26.
