Lady Yoe track team headed for regionals

The Lady Yoe track team had an outstanding day at the Area Track Meet on Thursday.

Nearly all of those competing advanced to the Regional Track Meet.

Yierra Flemings came in first in the 400-meter dash, the 100-meter hurdles, long jump and triple jump. She qualified for regionals in all those events.

Logan Pevehouse came in first in the 3200-meter and 1600-meter and qualified for regionals.

The 4x100 relay team of Brittani Drake, Brandi Drake, Lauren Harris and Flemings took first place and qualified for regionals.

The 4x200 relay team of Seally Smith, Camryn Ward, Harris and Ja’Kerra Holt got fourth place and also qualified for regionals.

The 4x400 relay team of Holt, Harris, Ward and Pevehouse came in fifth place.

In the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash Brandi Drake took first place qualifying for regionals. Brittani Drake came in fifth place in both races.

Holt came in second in the high jump and first in the pole vault and qualified for regionals.

Amelia Wimmer placed third in shot put and qualified for regionals.

The Regional Track Meet will take place April 23 and 24 at Waco Midway High School.
