Lady Yoe topple Bartlett 15-0
The Lady Yoe softball team rebounded from a tough weekend on Tuesday afternoon with a 15-0 shut-out of Bartlett.
The Lady Yoe traveled to San Antonio on Friday to take on the East Central Lady Hornets, and were shut out 15-0 in three innings.
The next day the Lady Yoe hosted a tournament and would lose both games they played. The first game was against the Granger Lady Lions, and they were defeated 10-1. Their next matchup was against the Bremond Lady Tigers, and Cameron would lose 8-6 in a hard fought game.
The Lady Yoe jumped on Bartlett early with an 8-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Cameron continued to run up the score with another six runs in the bottom of the second inning to go ahead 14-0, and would end it in the third inning with Kasara Brooks scoring on a wild pitch to end the game in three innings and win 15-0.
The Lady Yoe capitalized on their base running as many of their runs came due to four errors and seven wild pitches thrown by Bartlett. The offense combined for 10 hits, 7 RBIs, and had six walks. Sam Frausto pitched a phenomenal game. In the three innings, she allowed just one hit, two walks and had four strikeouts.
Up next for the Lady Yoe, they will participate in a tournament this weekend hosted by Franklin. Details are yet to be announced.
