Lady Yoe fall to Lexington

The Lady Yoe fell to Lexington 3-2 on Monday night on the final play of the game. The game was tied at two with Lexington batting in the bottom of the eighth when they singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Lexington pitchers struck out seven, while the Lady Yoe Varsity sat down one.

In the first inning, the Lady Yoe got their offense started. McKenzi Lara drove in two when Lara doubled.

In the bottom of the first inning, Lexington tied things up at two.

Nevaeh Billingsley took the loss for the Lady Yoe. Billingsley went seven innings, allowing three runs on nine hits and striking out one.

Hailey Tucker, Billingsley, Lindsay Talafuse, Mia Wimmer, Lara, and Lauren Harris each collected one hit. The Lady Yoe didn’t commit a single error in the field. Camryn Ward had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
