Cameron ISD suspends summer workouts due to positive COVID test
Cameron ISD has been made aware that one of the staff members working with the boy’s summer strength and conditioning program has tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result, the boy’s summer strength and conditioning program will be suspended until July 20.
The district will be deep- cleaning all strength and conditioning equipment this week and will resume the girl’s strength and conditioning on July 13 with the boys to follow on July 20.
Cameron ISD reminds parents to please monitor your students the next 14 days for the following symptoms of COVID-19:
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Chills
Repeated shaking with chills
Muscle pain
Headache
Sore throat
Loss of taste or smell
Diarrhea
Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
If you have concerns that you or your student may have been exposed to the virus, or if you or your student has any of the aforementioned symptoms, you should contact your personal health provider immediately.
