Thorndale voters approve proposition, elect council members

Thorndale voters approve a proposition for street funding and elected council members on May 1.
Voters selected Gerald Niemtschk and Jared Melde to serve on City Council.
Melde won the highest amount of votes with 64. Niemtschk had 46 votes and challenger Sam Pickett had 39 votes.
George Galbreath was re-elected as mayor. He was not contested.
Voters approved a proposition for the renewal of the use of sales tax to pay to repair municipal streets. There were 82 for and eight against the proposition.
