Police reminding all to lock cars after rash or burglaries
The Thorndale Police Department is investigating a rash of car break-ins throughout the city.
Thorndale Police Chief Mark Birchard said that 12 vehicles were broken into in five locations across the city recently.
He is reminding citizens to lock their cars and take all valuables out.
“They were looking for purses, wallets and cash,” he said. “They took nothing to pawn and left no fingerprints.”
He also suggested hiding packages if you have recently been shopping.
All the vehicles burglarized were unlocked at the time of the incidents.
Birchard said anyone with video surveillance footage between 1-5 a.m. is asked to bring it to the police department. If you have any information about the break-ins please contact the police department at (512) 898-2822.
