Bulldogs fall to Mason

The Thorndale Bulldogs football team traveled to take on the Mason Punchers on Friday, Oct. 11, for their district opener. 

Thorndale was defeated by Mason, losing 59-14. 

The Bulldogs fell behind early, going into halftime trailing 39-7. Thorndale’s struggles continued in the second half, being outscored 20-7 to lose to Mason 59-14.

Gunner Ferguson had a tough game, throwing for 134 yards and a touchdown along with two interceptions. Noah Crabtree had a tough game, rushing for 51 yards. 

Jayden Clawson still had a great game, catching six passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. 

With this loss, the Bulldogs have a record of 4-2 and a district record of 0-1. 

Next up for Thorndale will be a home game against the San Saba Armadillos for their district home opener. The game will be on Friday, Oct. 18, and kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
