Lady Dogs move to 6-0 in district play
The Thorndale Lady Dogs volleyball team hosted the Holland Lady Hornets on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Thorndale swept the Lady Hornets 3-0, winning the first set 25-20, the second set 25-20, and the third set 25-14.
Katelynn Zrubek had a great game with nine kills and three digs. Kennedy Robinson played incredible with eight kills, a block, six assists, and seven digs.
Allison Owen was fantastic, recording one kill, two assists, an ace, and 15 digs. Karley Breithaupt was super impactful as she recorded four kills, two blocks, five digs, 11 assists, and 10 aces.
The Lady Dogs traveled to take on the Milano Lady Eagles Tuesday, Oct. 15. Thorndale was victorious, beating Milano 3-1. They won the first set 25-23, lost the second set 25-21, won the third set 25-9, and the fourth set 25-20.
Katelynn Zrubek was outstanding with six kills and six blocks. Allison Owen was fantastic, recording four assists and 13 digs.
Hadley Meadors played terrific as she recorded six digs, an ace, and 34 assists. Kennedy Robinson was amazing, recording 20 kills, an ace, and 11 digs. Karley Breithaupt was outstanding as she recorded 10 kills, seven digs, and two aces.
With this win, Thorndale has a record of 20-14 and a perfect district record of 6-0.
Up next, the Lady Dogs will return home to host the Bartlett Lassies. The game will be Saturday, Oct. 19, and is set for 1 p.m.
