Yoemen move to 9-8 with two losses
The Cameron Yoemen baseball team hosted the Troy Trojans on Wednesday, March 13. Cameron was shut out by Troy, losing 6-0. The Yoemen stayed home to host the Rogers Eagles on Tuesday, March 19. The Yoemen were defeated, losing 10-1. Rogers started strong with four runs in the first inning and continued their momentum into the sixth inning taking a commanding 9-0 lead. Rogers went on to win the game 10-1. The lone highlight of the game was when Kason Goolsby walked and came home to score an RBI fielders choice groundout by Brody Aguirre in the sixth inning. This loss gives Cameron an overall record of 9-8 and a district record of 0-3. Up next for the Yoemen, they will travel to face Rogers once again.
