Keeping Schools Safe

The Milam County Sheriff’s Office and Cameron Police Department held a successful active shooter training at Ben Milam Elementary in Cameron on Monday. These events continue the School Safety Initiative focused on allowing first responders the opportunity to responded to scenario-based situations involving critical incidents in a safe and controlled environment. This training supports the School Safety Initiative’s goals to Enhance Response Capabilities, Enhance Safety Procedures for Staff and Participants, and Enhance Collaboration and Safety Operations in Schools. They also conducted training at Milano ISD on Wednesday.
