Lady Yoe thump Rockdale 20-1
The Lady Yoe softball team traveled to Rockdale and thumped the Lady Tigers on Wednesday 20-1 in a game that lasted five innings due to the 10-run rule.
The Lady Yoe scored seven combined runs in the first and second inning and seven total in the third inning. The offensive barrage was led by Delanie Evans, Navaeh Billingsley, Ka’Sara Brooks, Kenzie Lara, and Talafuse, who all drove in runs.
A big part of the success was Lindsay Talafuse, who drove in four runners. Talafuse drove in runs on a single in the third and a single in the fifth.
Zayda Spillers got the win for the Lady Yoe. Spillers lasted all five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out eight and walking one.
Up next, Cameron will head on the road to take on the Rogers Lady Eagles on Friday. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
