Yoe wrestlers compete at regionals competition

The Cameron Yoemen wrestling team competed in regionals this week.

Jordan Wells went 2-1 in his three matches.

Seth Perez was ranked and had a first round bye, then went on and won his opener.

Brady Havens lost his two matches and unfortunately was eliminated from the regionals.

Overall, Perez won three matches and lost two and won his last match 17 to 3 in dominating fashion. Perez ended the meet finishing fifth overall.

In a regular season without COVID-19, he would have been an alternate to the state meet.

Jordan Wells had five matches, where he lost two but won three, and ended the regionals tied for seventh.

Perez and Wells never were pinned but lost in close matches.

All matches were against 4A and 5A schools.
