Chamber Christmas Parade set for Dec. 5

The Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their 2020 Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1:30 p.m.

This year’s parade will be a little different. There will not be any judging or silent auction and everyone is asked to not throw candy from your entry. The Chamber wants a safe parade and encourages everyone to wear a mask and social distance as much as possible.

Your entry can be a float, decorated wagon, walking group, dressed-up pet, tractor, car or truck or whatever you would like.  Along with the parade Santa Claus will be there and we will have vendors and a ham raffle.   Santa Pictures will not be in the Chamber this year.  Santa will be outside for anyone who wants to visit with him.

You can get your parade entry forms from Prosperity Bank, Rockdale Federal Credit Union in Thorndale, M&G Designs and Thorndale Meal Market.

You may mail the completed form to the Chamber at P.O Box 668, Thorndale, TX 76577, drop it in the mail slot at the Chamber Building downtown or bring it with you to the parade. Line up assignments will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the parade will start at 1:30 p.m.

Questions regarding the parade call Tanner Banks at (979) 716-0403.

For vendor information call Susan Drabek at (512) 269-8796.
