Yoe Team Tennis earns second place in district play

Yoe Team Tennis competed with Smithville on Oct. 3 to earn second place in district play.

Results were as follows:

Boys Doubles

1. Marino Cardona and Nolan Brashear defeated Blake Segel and Clayton Bolt 6-4, 7-5

2. Colby Barton and Joseph Munoz defeated Melvin Evans and Cameron Dawson 2-6, 6-1, 10-7

3. Colby Green and Xavier Muniz lost to Carter Pettitt and Ryan Davis 1-6, 1-6

Girls Doubles

1. Camryn Green and Macie Vaculin lost to Lucy Slepkins and Marissa Igoe 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (5-7), 4-10

2.  Yierra Flemings and Alexis Mendoza defeated Monica Lewis and Brianna Trahan 6-2, 5-7, 10-3

3. Courtney Ortiz and Aaliyah Fields defeated Kylie Rosborough and Amaya Goetzman by deault

Boys Singles

1. Nolan Brashear defeated Blake Segel 4-6, 6-3, 10-8

2. Kincaid Callahan lost to Cameron Pounds 3-6, 4-6

3. Marino Cardona lost to Clayton Bolt 4-6, 6-1, 5-10

4. Joseph Munoz defeated Melvin Evans 6-3, 7-6 (7-3)

5. Colby Barton defeated Cameron Dawson 6-3, 6-0

6. Colby Green lost to Carter Pettitt 6-7 (1-7), 4-6

Girls Singles

1. Camryn Green vs Lucy Slepkins - match was not played due to score

 Cameron Yoemen defeated Smithville 10-7. 

Yoemen Team Tennis earned second place in district.
