COVID UPDATE: No new cases over weekend, so far

Milam County had no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, but did add eight cases on Friday.

"We have not had received any new confirmed Milam County cases reported over the weekend," Milam County Judge Steve Young said. "However, the State’s electronic lab reporting system was down for maintenance this weekend and we suspect that is one reason we have no new confirmed cases to report. However, several cases were dismissed this weekend."

"The active case count it the lowest its been since before June 29," Young said. "That is when we put in the disaster order to wear a mask. We are down to 15 active cases today." 

Milam County:

  1. Confirmed cases 314
  2. Active cases 15 – down 15
  3. Probable cases 7 no change
  4. Monitored by the Health Department - 46 down 4
  5. Hospitalized – 3 no change, one person was released on Friday
  6. Deaths 3 – no change

 

Texas:

  1. Confirmed cases 430,485
  2. Deaths 6,837
