COVID UPDATE: Cases continue climb with record day

Milam County had a record day for new COVID-19 cases on Thursday.

Milam County Judge Steve Young said there were 14 new cases in the county, a single-day high since the start of the pandemic.

There are now 217 confirmed cases in the county with 59 active, that is down two from yesterday.

There are 131 individuals being quarantined and three hospitalized with two deaths from the virus.

The state totals continue to rise also with 292,656 cases in Texas, up 10,291 yesterday, and 3,561 deaths, up 129 yesterday.
