Yoe Band headed for State Marching Contest

The Yoe High Band is headed for the State Marching Band Championships once again after receiving first place at Area Marching Contest last Saturday night in Belton.

The band earned straight ones in the prelims to advance to finals on Saturday where they came in first place. Clifton, Troy and Whitney High Schools will round out the schools advancing from Area D to the state contest.

State Marching Band contest will be held Nov. 6 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The Yoe Band will perform at 2:30 p.m.

There will be a send-off pep rally for the band on Nov. 6 at 9:15 a.m. in front of the band hall. The community is invited.

There will be a fan bus. Cost to ride is $40 per seat. Contact the YHS Kiosk to sign up or for more details. Riders will additionally need to purchase a ticket to the event. The bus will begin loading at 10 a.m. at the PAC Center on Tuesday morning.
