Four football players named to All-Central Texas team

Four Thorndale Bulldog football players have been named to All-Central Texas High School Football Team that was released by ESPN Central Texas last week. Corey Preusse was named to the first team at deep snapper. The senior was perfect on every extra point attempt, field goal attempt and punt snap during the season. Senior running back Luke Leschber earned second team honors. He carried the ball 142 times for 1,148 yards and 15 touchdowns. His high school career rushing yards totaled 3,913. Junior guard Corbin Preusse and sophomore kicker Michael Herzog both were named honorable mention. The All-Central Texas teams are made up of classifications, six-man to Class 6A, public and private schools, from nearly 100-programs that the media group covers on a weekly basis. Thorndale finished the 2018 season with an 8-2 overall record and were the district runner-up in District 13-2A Division I. The Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.
