Chamber looking for banquet honorees
The Cameron Chamber of Commerce is looking for outstanding businesses and community members to honor at its annual banquet. The Cameron Chamber of Commerce’s 85th Chamber Banquet will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Williams Event Center located at 408 S. Columbus. The Cameron Chamber of Commerce is seeking community input on candidates for several of the annual awards presented at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Chamber Director Melanie Reed said they are asking citizens of Cameron to submit your ideas on candidates for the following awards: Volunteer of the Year, Organization of the Year and Citizen of the Year. Volunteer of the year is given to an individual who had demonstrated involvement and enthusiasm by giving time and service to a variety of events in support of the community. Organization of the Year is given to an organization that demonstrated involvement and enthusiasm by giving time and service to a variety of events in support of the community. Citizen of the Year is given to an individual who has made significant civic contributions to the development and quality of life of this community through his or her personal effort. Their actions, by their very nature, serve as a model to those presently involved in community affairs and inspire others to bring about a better business climate and quality of life Cameron.
