Please note that all mail will be held in quarantine for up to 48 hours before being processed.
To pay taxes you may go online to www.milamcounty.net or www.milamad.org. You may pay by phone on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tax Assessor/Collector Sherry Mueck said, “for your safety and ours we will not be processing any vehicle registrations or any type of title transfers.”
The following is from the TXDMV website: “Does your vehicle registration expire this month? Due to the state of emergency, Governor Abbott issued a waiver from the requirement to renew registration. You may choose to take no action during the waiver period. If you take no action, when the state of emergency has passed you will have 60 days to have your vehicle inspected and complete the registration process. If you have already obtained a passing vehicle inspection, you may renew your registration online at https://renew.txdmv.gov/. Please see www.txdmv.gov/covid-19 for more information and answers to frequently asked questions. So your options are to either go online or wait the 60-day waiver period.”
