Lunch and Learning

Cameron ISD’s Tia Garrett delivers curbside lunch to CISD students last week. The school district has continued to serve lunch to students at locations throughout the city during the current school closures. Students are also able to pick up books and instructional packets for the week. Yoe High Assistant Superintendent Christiana Graham said they had served 144 students at Yoe High that day and that most students are participating in the lunches. Meals are available at Cameron Junior High/Elementary, Yoe High School, O.J. Thomas, Simon and George Hall. Meals are grab and go and will be provided between 10:30 a.m. and noon each weekday of closure. The district will be closed through at least May 1 at the direction of Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
