Eighth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Milam County

There has been an eighth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Milam County.

According to Milam County Judge Steve Young, the Milam County Health Department was contacted by a local medical provider advising that we now have our eighth confirmed COVID-19 case in Milam County.

"This is a local resident who is now self-quarantined," Young said. " The Milam County Health Department under the direction of Director Robert Kirkpatrick has begun its investigation. Those who have had contact with the infected person will be notified by the Milam County Health Department. We will keep everyone posted of further developments with this matter."

"This is obviously a serious matter and thus we urge you to stay home and stay safe," he said.
"If you must get out in public, wear a mask. If you don’t have a mask, cover your mouth and nose with a handkerchief or cloth."
