COVID UPDATE: Cases slowing again in Milam County
COVID cases seem to be on a downward trend in Milam County as the state and nation start to see rising cases.
"Today, we had one new PCR case and one discharged PCR case," Milam County Judge Steve Young reported on Thursday night. "We also had two new probable cases and one probable case was discharged from the active list."
Eight individuals were tested in Cameron on Thursday with one positive test result. On Friday, testing will be in Buckholts from 8 a.m. to noon. If you are a Milam County resident and you have COVID symptoms, you can go for a free antigen, rapid test.
"So far this week, we have done much better in Milam County," Young said. "There is no doubt that wearing a mask makes all the difference. However, nationwide today was one of the worst days, with over 85,000 reported cases."
