COVID UPDATE: 13 new COVID cases announced, active cases on the rise in county

Milam County set a new record with the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county yesterday.
Milam County Judge Steve Young said that 13 new cases were confirmed in Milam County as of 6 p.m. July 7.
"We don’t think any of these are from the 400 tested last week," Young saind.
Active cases are up to 40 with 133 confirmed cases in the county. There are 76 people being monitored along with two hospitalized and one of those on a ventilator. There has still been only one death in the county.
