TXDOT looking for opinion on I-14

State planners are seeking public input on a proposed interstate through much of Central Texas.

The Texas Department of Transportation is leading the statewide planning effort to develop an implementation strategy to upgrade the Interstate 14 network of highways in Texas into federal interstate standards.

The I-14 system is part of an extended corridor that will eventually stretch from Texas to Georgia.

The road has already been constructed in the Temple/Killeen area and is under construction around Rogers. The next part will come through Milam County.

While TxDOT is currently in the early planning stages, they are seeking insight into what the community may be worried about or hoping for as part of this interstate expansion.

Residents can give their feedback at https://txdot.mysocialpinpoint.com/i14systems.
