Sweetheart Banquet Dinner set for Feb. 16 at Gause Baptist Church

The Gause ISD basketball team will be playing here on Feb. 11 against Cornerstone. The game will begin at 5 p.m. Remember the Austin Area Food Bank will be at the Gause Community Center on Tuesday, Feb. 12. This is open to all members of our community. Most towns around our area provide this service. If you don’t live in Gause, check around your area for this service for food. This is Black History Month and Stephen Chapel AME Church will be having a special service on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. The Rev. Samuel Powell Jr. will be the guest speaker. Gause Baptist Church Youth will be sponsoring a Sweetheart Banquet Dinner on Feb. 16 at the Church Family Life Center. These may be purchased from the youth or at Coats Grocery. The tickets have to be purchased in advance. Wanda and Al Coats spent Sunday afternoon at Lake Limestone with Ray and Paula. They sat on the front porch and rocked. Report it was so pretty. Patty and Cleo Stewart took a road trip Sunday afternoon to Tatum, Texas, close to the Louisiana border. They went to pick up some cattle. The Dendy Brown Benefit/ Ride Fundraiser will be held at Nat’s in Milano on Saturday, March 30. The ride fee is $20 per rider or $25 with passenger.
