Milano Ladies Auxiliary garage sale planned
The spring Milano VFD Ladies Auxiliary garage sale is set for Thursday through Saturday at the MVFD fire station. The building will be open all this week and next for donation drop offs. The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The station is located at 305 E Avenue C/US Highway 79. For assistance getting your donations to the fire department building, or if you need items picked up, please call (512) 446-5110 or (512) 455-3635. Milano Project Graduation will hold a chicken dinner fundraiser on April 7 at the KC Hall in Rockdale. Plates will be $10 each and include chicken half, green beans, German noodles, dessert and tea. In addition to the dinner, there will be a silent auction on site. If you live or work within a 20-mile radius and have at least an order of five plates in your area, the group will deliver. (979) 436-4123. The annual Milano ISD scholarship golf tournament will be held Saturday, April 13 at the Rockdale Country Club. Cost is $75 per player and is a fourperson scramble event. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Prizes will be handed out for first through third place teams, longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-inone. Limited to first 18 teams, breakfast and light lunch provided. Hole sponsorships are available for $120. All net proceeds will fund scholarships for graduating Milano students. Milano Masonic Lodge has set its annual scholarship tournament for Saturday, April 27, at the Cameron Country Club.
