Cameron PD welcomes new officer

POLICE BEAT

The Cameron Police Department is happy to announce the employment of our new officer. Officer Demond Tillman a Houston native graduated in 2014 from William B. Travis High School in Houston Texas. After graduation Tillman continued his education by obtaining his TCOLE certification in 2017 and earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Houston Community College. Tillman is currently pursuing his second degree at Texas Southern University. Cameron Police Department is Tillman’s first duty station. Prior to becoming a peace officer Tillman worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry. “I’ve chosen the Law Enforcement career path because I believe we are able to make a difference in most lives by being able to protect, serve and encourage those we come in contact with,” Tillman said. During Tillman’s free time he enjoys relaxing with family and finding new restaurants to enjoy.
